Braintree expands to accommodate technology demand

Leading data communications specialists Braintree Communications is bucking the trend in the IT industry as they engage on an exciting period in this company’s growth.

“Braintree is steadily progressing through a growth phase in response to the increase in customer demand for our technology both domestically and internationally. To accommodate this demand we are recruiting specialist staff and have acquired a second tenancy to cope with the expansion,” says Chief Executive Officer, Peter Hall.

Braintree expanded its office space by acquiring a second tenancy at 6 Cordelia Street in South Brisbane to increase its floor space to 500 square metres. Braintree is experiencing growth in employee numbers in particular in the Programming, Business Operations and Marketing divisions.

“It was important that we put in place the infrastructure to cater for the planned growth over the next 12 months. We are also looking to appoint a Business Development Manager in the UK within 6-8 months to support the opportunities we have coming out of this region and to facilitate growth of promotion of our technology not only in the UK but also Europe,” says Mr Hall.

“The extra office space has enabled us to expand our R&D lab to continue with development of our technology and also to open a dedicated ‘Centre for Excellence’ site showcasing our unique connectivity solutions in action,” Mr Hall said.

The Centre for Excellence site will incorporate demonstrations on transaction-based connectivity solutions including EFT applications, such as POS and ATM, over broadband and wireless platforms. Braintree is currently in discussion with potential complimentary partners in setting the site up. The Centre for Excellence will be officially launched later this year.

The Centre for Excellence will showcase Braintree’s current and emerging technologies in an interactive demonstration in a bid to promote Braintree’s technology development in Short Duration Transaction Networks to domestic and international clients.

“If customers find it difficult to visualise a solution then they can come to our Centre, see the solution in a practical hands-on demonstration. It does not matter if they are a single store florist or a multi-national organisation like Telstra, seeing the solution do its stuff is the most effective form of promotion and makes up an integral part of our client’s decision-making process.”

“This site not only provides the opportunity for Braintree to promote our technology but also strategic partners in the transaction process to showcase their technologies to the telecommunications, retail, banking and finance industries”.

Braintree currently showcases their integrated ISDN retail POS solution that is the technology behind Telstra’s Argent ISDN service.
