Braintree 's was shortlisted as a finalist in this years competition with its Axon terminal adaptor which migrate existing fixed wire EFTPOS and ATM systems in the merchant's store to cheaper, secure, faster and more reliable wireless networks.
Braintree 's Axons allow merchants to extend the life of existing transaction assets by providing the physical link between the terminal equipment and the wireless network. Braintree 's Axon achieves this by providing the complex protocol conversions necessary to allow legacy equipment to communicate over wireless IP networks. ATMIA Awards 2004
Braintree entered the ATMIA global competition with its Axon technology that allows Telco's, banks, merchants and terminal manufacturers to migrate existing EFTPOS and ATM equipment to wireless networks.
Braintree 's Axon technology was short-listed for two awards under the ATM Technology category – Through the Wall ATM and Stand Alone ATM . Its second placing came in the Through the Wall section.
Being short-listed in the top three for two awards is recognition of the IT excellence that comes from not just Queensland but Australia
Queensland Top 400 - 2004
Braintree's was awarded as one of the top privatley owned enterprises in Queensland by making the prestigious Queensland 400 listing. Braintree's official Q400 ranking for 2004 is 335.
The Q400 is assessed against a number of criteria including sales revenue, staff numbers, forecasts and is audited by BDO Kendalls, Vodafone, CPA Australia, the Dpt of State Development & Innovation and Suncorp.

Braintree's
award-winning solution, the Translator product series, reached the Finalist
round of the Secrets of Australian IT Innovation. The Translator is designed
for transaction and/or data processing with synchronous and asynchronous
attached devices such as terminals, ATMs and EFTPOS connected to a Local
Area Network (LAN).
The Translator
product series is ideal for networking terminals that require a high degree
of data security. Braintree has recently designed and developed a customised
version of the Translator for Boeing to integrate the Australian Defence
Force's communications network.
Ernst
and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards - 2003
Chief Technical Officer, Co-Founder and Owner of Braintree Communications,
Mr Peter Mason, was a Finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
for the Northern Region. The Awards acknowledge Australian entrepreneurs
who have created successful and dynamic businesses that make a vital contribution
to the Australian economy.

The APICTA Awards brings together Australia's best ICT technologies to
compete in 23 categories. Applicants were judged on technology uniqueness,

Defence Recognised Supplier Scheme - 2002
Braintree
has been officially acknowledged as a 'Defence Recognised Supplier' to
the Australian Defence Industry.
The Defence Recognised Supplier Scheme (DRSS) is part of the Department
of Defence's support for Australian industry. To be eligible for recognition
businesses need to meet 4 specific criteria, such as producing a product
or service of high quality to the defence industry and also being Australian
owned.
This recognition follows Braintree's Translator product designed for the
HFMOD Project for the Australian Defence Force.
Secrets
of Australian IT Innovation Awards - 2001
Braintree
won the eCommerce category of the Secrets of Australian IT Innovation
with our unique network gateway targeted at the telecommunications and
retailing industries. This unique gateway offers a fully integrated and
cost-effective solution that simplifies retailer's communications network
by consolidating all voice and data communications into a single connection.
Braintree's Network Gateway offers retailers EFT connectivity for applications
such as POS and ATM, Security, Wide Area Networking, fast internet access
and telephony connectivity to a single Integrated Subscriber Digital Network
(ISDN) line.
The award provided Braintree with an exclusive opportunity to present
to delegates of the World Congress on IT in Adelaide in 2002.
Euro
High-Tech Awards - 2001
Braintree
won the Euro High-Tech Awards competition with our Network Gateway. The
competition saw IT companies all over Australia compete for a place to
tour Europe as part of Austrade's IT business mission.
The competition, judged by Sun Microsystems and Nextec, provided Braintree
with the opportunity to market our solution to senior business managers,
IT companies and venture capitalists in the UK, Germany and Sweden.
