Data communications specialist Braintree Communications has named Ian Sandford as Chairman of the Board.
Sandford has some 33 years of senior management experience, 12 of them directorships. He has been a director of PANBIO Limited since 1994 and chairman since 1998, and non-executive director at Burnett Valley Group and Informed Sources Pty Ltd. Sandford was also a non-executive director at Norco Co-operative and Norco / Pauls Milk.
Sandford says his objective is to make Braintree a global communications catalyst.
The company specialises in technologies that simplify, integrate and enhance data network – particularly solutions to allow legacy equipment to seamlessly and immediately connect to modern IP network platforms using intelligent protocol conversion.
It focuses on high-quality data language conversion technology in Eftpos, defence, banking and financial communications.
Contented customers include Telstra, Boeing, Ericsson, Cashcard and Japan Airlines.

Braintree has also named Peter Hall as chief executive. He joined the company in 2000 as chief operating officer bringing a long track record in building small business ventures into successful corporations.
He has 10 years experience in capital raising, change management and marketing including providing business advisory services for start-ups. Hall spent more than 3 years advising the Queensland Government and its clients on business development issues, including export and venture capital activities for the IT industry.
He says Braintree is at
an exciting stage of development with global growth opportunities and
